NAME: Pamela Nelson, Dallas painter 
and public artist
RESUME: Born 1947 in Oklahoma City.
Graduated from Southern Methodist Uni-
versity. Married with two children. Taught
in museums, colleges, and started a pro-
gram to teach art to homeless artists.
Also taught yoga at local YMCAs. Lives
downtown in a reviving city.

Gallery in Dallas and Adair Margo in
El Paso.








PUBLIC SERVICE:Eight year appointment to U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, meets every month to review art and architecture in Washington. Was the design artist for four light-rail stations, recent commission at DFW Airport. Believes in the importance of public green spaces and public art, increasing our humanity and appreciation of life.
